Temptation to blame others, is hard to resist,
As long as it stays, the agony will persist.
The irony is that, it is supposedly our choice,
That we attract these villains, but at a huge price.
The wrongdoers, we must forgive and forget,
For it is said, it’s in our best interest.
With forgiveness prayers floating all over,
Aren’t we glad we’ve spotted a quick cure?
But we wish it was that easy and simple,
To make the blame game vanish in a twinkle!
The cruel ones are in our life for a reason,
And will not exit till we master the lesson.
The lessons to be learnt take their own time,
It’s as if they were crafted by a wicked mind.
It usually happens when we experience the pain,
We realize how we chose to harm ourselves in vain!
It finally dawns on us, at other times we did the same,
Being blameless, is certainly not what we can claim.
What we saw in the other was our own image,
Being shown to us, for us to acknowledge.
Then we are ready to embrace the lesson,
That it was all meant to teach us acceptance.
